Ethel Barja is an award-winning poet, scholar, and educator of Latin American and Caribbean Poetry and Poetics.

She is the author of Poesía e insurrección: La Revolución cubana en el imaginario latinoamericano [Poetry and Insurrection: The Cuban Revolution in the Latin American Imaginary] (Iberoamericana Vervuert, 2023) and of six poetry books.
